The GAFA master class was there and showed what it can do
The students of the Patisserie Master Class used the days before January 14 to make preparations for the ball. On the day itself, they left early and set up everything at their stand. Classically traditional, the famous Kaiserschmarrn was prepared and roasted on the spot. Also the high art of sugar pulling and molding could be marveled at. Especially the swan figures have enjoyed great popularity.
This year the theme of the ball was "Comics" and this was grandly realized in the form of beautiful cake sculptures in the grand entrance hall. The Zuckerbäckerball was opened by dancers of the "Vereinigung Wiener Staatsopernballett", by more than 160 couples of the Vienna Dance School and the coloratura soprano Daniela Fally. The guests of the ball were very enthusiastic about the offer of the GAFA stand. There was semolina pancake with apple sauce. "It tasted very good to us," said one guest at the ball.
