Sara Jahn is vegan young chef 2018

GAFA student Jahn wins the Vegan Young Chef Award 2018

Sarah Jahn, student of the 3rd Technical School of GAFA, prevailed against strong competition and won the Vegan Young Chef Award 2018. The 2nd and 3rd places also went to GAFA with the students David Milosevic and David Kanzler. The competition was held on December 1 on the occasion of the Vegan Planet Fair held at the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) in Vienna.

18-year-old Sarah Jahn convinced the jury with lavender pudding, flamed aquafaba crumble and lemon sorbet. Siegfried Kröpfl, vegan toque chef and one of Sarah's cooking teachers at GAFA, was particularly pleased with his student's victory. GAFA Director Werner Sedlacek also congratulated: "Sarah's enormous creativity and craftsmanship show that we are right on target with our vegan education at GAFA."
