An impressive performance at "Rookie of the Year 2024"!
Our school is proud to celebrate Paula Stöger as the runner-up winner of the Rookie of the Year 2024 competition! Paula, a talented student from our hospitality school, wowed the high-caliber jury with her impressive menu.
On Monday, 13 May, Paula had the honor of being one of three finalists in the competition. Her competitors came from Tyrol, from the Kemmerle restaurant (first place) and the Hotel Central in Sölden (third place). Within 4.5 hours, they had to conjure up an impressive 3-course menu that included certain mandatory products such as catfish fillet, shortrib, chocolate from Original Beans and spices from Spice World.
Paula demonstrated her outstanding cooking skills with her starter of poached noble whaler and her main course of Black Angus beef short rib. Her dessert, a chocolate mousse with a rhubarb and yuzu center, was the crowning glory.
Paula's success is the result of hard work and passionate dedication gained during her internships at Pichlmayrgut and Alexander Herrmann. We congratulate Paula on this impressive achievement and look forward to her future culinary adventures!
