Matthias Birnbach wins "Les Chefs en Or

Falstaff YTC winner 2017 wins 3rd place in Paris

For the second time, GAFA graduate Matthias Birnbach won an award at the European cooking competition "Les Chefs en Or" in Paris. After the outstanding 2nd place in 2016, he was awarded 3rd place at the 2018 competition. "Les Chefs en Or" is one of the most important cooking competitions in Europe with participants from Germany, France, Austria, Poland, Romania, Russia and Switzerland.

Vice State Champion & Falstaff Young Talent

In 2018, Matthias was awarded the title of Vice State Champion at the Duel of the Young Chefs with 2nd place. In 2017, he prevailed against 17 finalists at the Falstaff Young Talent Cup. He convincingly won 1st place in the field of cuisine. Back in 2015, the talented young chef took part in a recipe competition organized by Vulcano and C+C Pfeiffer. His creation "bacon ice cream and salted caramel" brought him 1st place.
