A full-day excursion took the Matura class (3AUL) of Gafa to Hans Reisetbauer in Axberg in Upper Austria. The students, who were accompanied by class president Mag. Klaus Stöger and teacher Gerhard Elze, who has special ties to the 3AUL, were given a tour of the company by the boss himself. Reisetbauer's quality brandies are among the international elite and are offered in the best restaurants worldwide. The products of the organic-certified company are listed in no fewer than 38 countries. A particularly good market here is the USA, as Reisetbauer explained.
In addition to the "classics" such as Williams, apricot, plum, rowan and apple (in oak barrels), the range also includes wild service tree, orange, carrot and ginger. "Quality creates friendship" is the motto of the family business near Linz. The class thanked wine lover Hans Reisetbauer and his son Hans Jr. with a "wine gift", who was also available to the 3AUL all day and led the morning tour of the orchards.
